Coming Home

Ah, the city! Where I belong, Where my heart longed to be. For my toy town - a dearth of possibilities, Had no new stories to tell,  no new adventures to be found. Every one of them tried and mastered, Had the same faces that I have seen since the time I crawled. So I pack my bags and move to the city, Bidding goodbye and having no pity. Blooming dreams and rising hopes, I jump  on a train that would take me home. My windows opened to a brick wall, This the least of my worries. I saw no eyes that beheld a smile, Nor no faces that weren't tired. My lungs poisoned, my eyes tearing, My mind failing to remind me who I was before I landed myself in this trap, They call the city of the young. The life I dreamt of, is no life at all For what is life without a breeze?  Two years have gone by  and the time spent has all been blurry. Having had enough, I jump on a train that would take me home. And I dream of my town, on my way to reclaim what was once mine. I knew what I didn...
